City Khust<\/a>located at the confluence of the river River<\/a> in Yew tree<\/a>at a distance of 112 kilometers from the regional center. A railway passes through the city Uzhgorod<\/a>–Solotvino<\/a>and the highway Uzhgorod-Rakhiv<\/a>. The population of Khust is about thirty thousand people.<\/p> \n \n

There is a version that name of the city Hust<\/a> \u2013 this is an abbreviation of the names of crown cities Maramorosh<\/a> zhupi, and same: Gesamte \u2013 Dovhe Pole \u2013 Kimpolung (now in theRomanians<\/a>) \u2013 “G”; WISC \u2013 Vyshkovo<\/a> \u2013 “\u0423”; Shit of Sighetul Marmatiei \u2013 now in Romania) – “C”; Techo \u2013 Tiachiv<\/a> \u2013 “T”. Thus, the first letters of the names of these cities gave the name of the city” GUST”, which was later transformed into Hust.<\/p><\/p> \n\r\n
