He was a participant In the second World war in the British army. Participated in the landing in <a href=\"https:\/\/go-to.rest\/blog\/uzhgorodska-mini-skulptura-napoleon\/\">Normandy<\/a>. He finished the war with the rank of captain, was awarded the distinguished service badge for heroism, and after the war was appointed head of the press office of the British foreign office. At the same time, Maxwell bought his first company, Pergamon Press, and over time, his business expanded significantly and turned into a real media Empire.<\/p>\n\n<p>In 1978 at the invitation of Leonid Brezhnev Maxwell&#13;\nvisited Moscow.
