The father wanted his son to get a quality education. Already in\r\nAlexander showed brilliant abilities to the school. At the age of fifteen, he was free\r\nhe spoke five foreign languages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first poem of the poet “the drunkard” was published in 1842. In 1844, the young Petrovich took the pseudonym Sandor Petefi, which is a translation of his name into Hungarian. In the same year, he published his first collection of poems in pest called “Poems” and immediately became one of the most famous poets Hungarians<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the summer of 1847, Petefi visited Transcarpathia, visited Uzhgorod<\/a>, Beregovo<\/a>, Average<\/a>, Mukachevo<\/a>,Badalovo. In the Coast, the poet, was for several days and was engaged in collecting folk songs and other folklore<\/a> materials’. Sandor Petefi is known not only as a poet, but also as an active revolutionary. He was one of the organizers of the Hungarian revolution of 1848-1849. He died heroically in the battle with Russian<\/a> by the troops that took place at Shegeshvarom in Transylvania on July 31, 1849.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
