Description
At the foot of a low hill, a little to the side of the houses, in the village of Ivashkovitsa, Irshava district, Zakarpattia region, stands the church of St. Michael. It was built in 1658, as evidenced by the carved inscription on the door. The church itself is built of larch, and the eastern blockhouse - of oak. This wooden temple consists of three log cabins. The fellings of the nave and the porch are the same width, and the felling of the altar part is a little narrower. Above the porch stands a low square tower, which ends with an octagonal tent roof, which turns into a high octagonal sharp spire.
