Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker #151

The church in the village of Belasovitsa was probably built by the same masters as the temple in the neighboring village of Kotelnitsa. But because no church community agreed to the direct repetition of an existing church, the masters were forced to display miracles of ingenuity, not to repeat themselves. According to the elder of the churchman Michael Halus (born 1921), whose father and grandfather were also churchmen, the church of St. Nicholas was built by craftsmen with Lazy Vasily Lomaga and Vasily Dalekorey. The temple was built in 1890.
