Church of the Heart of Jesus #191

The restored, recently whitewashed majestic Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is located just outside the village of Bene where the road to Kvasovo is separated from the highway. Built this masterpiece in the late XIV century in Romanesque style. The sophisticated completion of the dome, which was later erected, gave the temple the lightness that characterizes the Gothic that dominated Europe at the turn of the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. In 1657, after a terrible fire, the temple lay in ruins. The temple was rebuilt and in architectural terms Romanesque style and Gothic elements were added to the Baroque.
