The village of Gorinchovo, Khust district, Zakarpattia Oblast is located 15 kilometers northeast of Iza in the river valley. The population of the village is just over three thousand people. It was first mentioned in written sources in 1350. At that time it was called Zelumeuseu. Subsequently, its name changed to Garincha (1403), Guerinche (1460), Guerinci (1555). According to legend, once in the local thickets settled robbers who escaped from slavery. Every year the tall pits were burnt, and the following spring they were burnt again. Therefore, the village that emerged at this place was called Gorinchovo (from the word burn). Nowadays the village is famous for its fairy tales, which are several dozen here.
