Description
The first written references to Torun are found in the documents of the first half of the seventeenth century. As the present church, as evidenced by the date carved on the doorframe, built in the early nineteenth century (1809), it is possible to assume, taking into account the piety of the Transcarpathians, that in the village until 1809, there could have been some church about which there is no evidence. The present church is located in the center of the village on the high ledge of the mountain on the left bank of the River. The church is three-edged, with a wide tower over the porch with a baroque finish, covered with a gilded tin.
