Main attraction Svaliavas located at a distance of several kilometers from the Central part of the city, in the South-Eastern suburb of Bystry. The road there leads past the memorial to those who died during the Second World war, past the district state administration, then-over the bridge over the stormy river Svalyavkoyu. Behind Svalyavkoyu immediately located small church, a little further rises the modern temple. The street rises slowly, from time to time taking in the streams of side alleys. Return to the second lane on the left. It’s already Fast, is named in honor of a rapid stream, which, flying above the Svalyavka. According to legend, the suburb was founded by Mikhail Ivashkovich, who moved to these places from the village of Bystry, which is located on the territory of the present Of the velikobereznyansky district. The lane rises higher and higher between the elegant houses. Mountains they make way for the road humbly. In a small cemetery stands wooden miracle – St. Michael’s Church (1588 Rik). At first, the Shrine stood on nearby mount birdie and was moved due to the threat of a landslide. Another building the stage in the history of the Church began in 1759, when it was completely renovated. Then a 15-meter high wall was built over babynets belfry. The temple consists of three different volumes in height, each of which has its own roof, which does not prevent us from perceiving the Church as a whole harmonious building. In 1972, the temple was restored by the famous architect I. Mogitich.
Unfortunately, the old bell tower of the Church has not been preserved. Modern, stone, appeared in 2000. Its plinth contains a message to the next generations: the ancient custom has adapted to the new conditions after the Soviet times.
