The Tsyhanka River flows through the estate. According to the legend, a long time ago, in the middle of the village, an old willow tree grew over the Tsyhanka River, swaying in the breeze and creaking. The villagers were fascinated by the magical sound of the creaking willow (“squeak”) and decided to name their village Strypa after this magical sound.
