Spa tour to Transcarpathia: vats and thermal waters takes place every Monday-Tuesday all year round!
It’s not a tour, it’s a pleasure :)) bathing in vats of hydrogen sulphide water on an open fire and thermal springs, delicious Transcarpathian and Hungarian cuisine, aromatic Transcarpathian wine and Carpathian eco-products. In addition, fascinating excursions to Uzhhorod, Beregovo, and Nevytsky Castle await you.
Tour schedule
Day 1
09:00 a.m – Meeting of tourists at the railway station in Uzhhorod with a representative of the tour operator.
– Departure for an excursion (things in the bus).
– Transfer to the ancient mountain village of Lumshory.
– A short walk to the small but very picturesque Solovey and Davir waterfalls.
– Bathing in vats of hydrogen sulphide water on an open fire on the banks of a mountain river. A fantastic pleasure that Peter the Great’s ambassadors wrote about when they were crossing the Carpathians. A huge cast-iron vat with a capacity of approximately 2000 litres stands in the middle of a roofless wooden hut. It is filled with mineral water and heated with wood over an open fire. There are several stones in the vat. You get inside (6-8 people), and the hospitable host puts wood on the fire and cooks you over low heat. As soon as you feel your blood start to boil (although the water is actually heated to no more than +43°C), jump out! A few steps away is an icy mountain stream, dive headlong and back into the vat. Both in summer and winter, the procedure takes place in the open air. This is a pleasant, exciting and very useful procedure!
– Lunch-tasting in the ethno-restaurant “Pidkova” (additional fee 220 UAH/person).
– Nevytsky Castle – history and legends.
