The water from this incredible spring in Skhidnytsia is slightly mineralised with sodium and calcium bicarbonate. In addition, this mineral water is enriched with organic substances of alcohol resins, humus substances, carboxylic acids and specific groups of microorganisms that contribute to the enhancement of the therapeutic effect. It is a Naftusia-type water with a mineralisation of 0.61 g/dm3.
The healing properties of this source are characterised by a diuretic effect, causing mechanical washing and removal of small stones, renal sand and products of inflammatory processes (mucus, pus, leukocytes). This water is effective for the treatment of urolithiasis, chronic pyelonephritis, chronic pyelocystitis of non-tuberculous origin, lithogenic diathesis (uric acid, oxalaturia, phosphaturia, xanthuria), as well as biliary system diseases. Drinking this water is more effective if you take long walks in the fresh air.
You can find this spring in the woods near the entrance to Skhidnytsia village from Boryslav on the right side of the road. An asphalt path leads to it from the fork.
For the convenience of tourists, there is a signpost on the main road. The villa “Zolote Runo” can also serve as a landmark, from which it is only 30 metres to the Source No. 1. The nearest springs No. 8, 9, 10 are located only 550 metres away.

The mineral water in this spring is calcium bicarbonate and is similar to spring No. 15 in terms of its physicochemical properties. It is classified as “ferruginous”. Its iron content is 0.03 g/litre. It is enriched with both ferrous iron ions and a complex of organometallic substances with a share of 36.6%. The total mineralisation level of the water is 0.357 g/litre. There are no analogues of this water in Ukraine, except for source No. 15. Drinking this healing water changes the secretory function of the gastric glands with varying intensity, increasing the secretion of such enzyme as pepsin, and also removes radionuclides (especially radioactive cesium) from the body, accelerates the formation of red blood cells and normalises haemoglobin levels, and restores bone and marrow haematopoiesis.
This water is used to treat liver diseases, iron deficiency anaemia, chronic gastritis (with normal and reduced secretory function), chronic enteritis and colitis, as well as radiation sicknesses in NPP workers and X-ray diagnostic rooms.
Source No. 13 is located at the entrance to Skhidnytsia village from Boryslav, opposite the market behind the bridge. The nearest source 1S is only 50 metres away. The Three Sons and a Daughter hotel is only 230 metres away from the thirteenth source.

As already mentioned, the composition of this water is similar to that of spring No. 13 in Skhidnytsia. The water from this spring is enriched with iron, carbon dioxide and manganese. Iron is present both in the form of a divalent cation and in the form of a complex of iron-organic substances with a share of 62.3%. Mineral water from source No. 15 is a low-mineralised water of the “Iron” type.
As for the healing properties of this water, they are also similar to those of spring No. 13. Mineral waters from source No. 15 are used to treat chronic stomach diseases with low acidity, iron deficiency anaemia, late chlorosis, chronic pyelonephritis and cystitis. This mineral water is an effective means of removing radionuclides from the body, in particular radioactive cesium, and promotes the harmonious restoration of bone marrow hematopoiesis and peripheral blood cellularity.
Source No. 15 in the village of Skhidnytsia is not difficult to find. It is located in the middle of the St Panteleimon the Healer landscape park. The villa “U Doktora” is located next to this spring at a distance of only 40 metres.

The mineral water from this spring is very cold, as it is extracted from a 100-metre deep well. The water is slightly mineralised (0.25 g/l), bicarbonate-sodium sulphate, and has a faint smell of hydrogen sulphide. The composition of the water has a high content of trace elements. In particular, it contains silicic acid (39 mg/l), ferrous iron (1 mg/l), cobalt (0.002 mg/l), as well as biologically active medicinal organic substances and microorganisms that are typical for Naftusia.
This water is slightly alkaline and has a pronounced choleretic effect. The healing properties of the source No. 18-s are used to regenerate liver tissue, enhance renal water excretion, stimulate biliary function, synthesise cholines in the liver, reduce cholesterol levels in bile, stop inflammatory processes in the kidneys, etc.
Well No. 18-s is located in the village of Skhidnytsia at the very end of Kotliarevskoho Street, in a meadow, next to the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul. Not far from the spring, at a distance of 210 metres, is the Citadel Hotel.

Water from the source No. 2-s is extracted from a 100-metre deep well. The water is soda, alkaline, sodium bicarbonate and medium mineralisation. It is characterised by a high content of trace elements such as silicic acid (35 mg/l), bromine (0.5 mg/l), organic matter (13 mg/l) and iodine. It is similar in type to Borjomi and Polyana Kvasova waters. Locals call this water “Skhidnytsia Borjomi”. Another name that appears in the people’s language is soda “Naftusia”. It is believed that spring No. 2-s of all Skhidnytsia mineral waters is the most popular among holidaymakers.
The healing properties of this water reduce the acid-forming function of the gastric glands. Source No. 2-s is useful for the treatment of diseases of the stomach, intestines and duodenum, gastritis with high and normal acidity, peptic ulcer, chronic pancreatitis, colitis.
The source No. 2-s is located in the very centre of Skhidnytsia village near the bus station. The Poetry Mandriv hotel is located 75 metres away.

This water is bicarbonate-sulfate-calcium-magnesium and contains groups of microorganisms typical of Naftusia waters. Low-mineralised water from source No. 25 is characterised by choleretic effect.
The water from this source is used to treat urinary tract and kidney diseases, chronic pyelonephritis, chronic cystitis, cholangitis, hepatitis, cholecystitis, diabetes mellitus, liver diseases and other related diseases. In addition, this water is also recommended for use after kidney surgery and Botkin’s disease.
Source No. 25 is located near the exit from Skhidnytsia towards the village of Urizh, in a forest area next to the Yavora barbecue and recreational area. The Zelenyi Bir health and recreation centre is only 400 metres away from this spring.

This spring is a bicarbonate-sulfate-calcium-magnesium water saturated with organic substances and acids. Like the water from the nearby spring No. 25, it contains groups of microorganisms characteristic of Naftusia waters.
The water from spring No. 26 is used to treat urolithiasis, lithogenic diathesis, chronic kidney disease, and urinary diseases.
Source No. 26 is located directly next to source No. 25.

The water from this spring is slightly mineralised, slightly acidic, calcium bicarbonate with a characteristic hydrogen sulphide odour and a mineralisation level of 0.308 g/litre. The composition of the mineral water from source No. 3 includes copper, zinc, iodine, bromine, fluorine, cobalt, silver, and manganese. In addition, it is enriched with organic substances, which are the main healing factors in the water from source No. 1. It belongs to the “Naftusia” mineral water type.
Mineral water from source No. 3 has a diuretic and anti-inflammatory effect, restores normal kidney function, helps treat chronic urolithiasis and biliary system diseases, prevents the formation and growth of stones, improves blood circulation, normalises urination, improves diabetes treatment thanks to zinc, and removes radionuclides from the body. The healing properties of this water have an overall positive effect on the body. After a course of water from spring No. 3, holidaymakers feel a surge of energy, increase their appetite and improve the quality of sleep.
Source No. 3 is located at the entrance to Skhidnytsia village from Boryslav, in the forest behind the market in a picturesque ravine. It can be reached by a well-equipped path with benches and places to rest. Another path to the spring goes straight ahead through the pine forest from spring No. 1.

The water from springs No. 5 and 6 is slightly mineralised calcium bicarbonate with a high content of organic compounds. The content of toxic trace elements (heavy metals, nitrogen components, pesticides, etc.) is significantly lower than the norm. It belongs to the “Naftusia” type. It has a pronounced choleretic effect.
Water from springs No. 5 and 6 is used to effectively treat chronic diseases of the urinary and biliary tract.
This spring is located in the middle of a forest area near the Respect Hotel at the very end of Skhidnytsia, next to the road to Tsyukhiv Verkh and the village of Yamelnytsia.

This water is used to treat diseases of the liver, biliary tract, kidneys, chronic cholecystitis, cholelithiasis, chronic hepatitis, urolithiasis and pyelonephritis.

This water is very useful for people with diabetes mellitus, as it reduces acidification of the body and helps it accumulate alkaline reserves, and due to the increased concentration of manganese in the water, a pronounced anti-ketogenic effect can be achieved.
