Church of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary
The first written mentions of the village of Torun, Khust district, Zakarpattia region, can be found in documents of the first half of the 17th century. Since the current church, as evidenced by the date carved on the door frame, was built at the beginning of the 19th century (1809), it can be assumed, taking into account the piety of Transcarpathians, that there could have been a church in the village before 1809, of which no evidence has survived.
