This mineral spring was discovered in 1900. It is located in the western part of the Truskavets resort, at the top of the resort beam, at the very end of the central park alley, 800 metres from the centre. The spring itself is a capped stone well with a fountain and benches for relaxation.
The healing water from this spring is bicarbonate-sulfate-chloride-calcium-magnesium with a pronounced diuretic effect and a low degree of mineralisation (0.7 mg/l). It is clear, moderately cold, pleasant to the taste with a characteristic faint smell of hydrogen sulphide. Its chemical composition is similar to Naftusya.
In addition, it contains substances of glycerine origin, which makes this water good for the skin and eyes when applied externally. Due to its rejuvenating effect, the skin after washing and bathing with this water acquires its natural colour, becomes elastic, soft, smooth and supple. It is not surprising that people call Yuzya a source of youth and beauty. This spring is very popular with the fair sex.
Taking baths with “Yuzya” water improves the functioning of joints and muscles, increases the overall muscle tone. After the procedures, you feel light in the body. Thanks to Yuzya, metabolism is normalised, the level of lactic acid increases, and blood supply to the skin, as well as the gastric and intestinal mucosa, improves. Mineral carbon dioxide and emerald baths with Yuzya have a positive effect in the treatment of diabetes mellitus, metabolic disorders and diseases of the cardiovascular system.
An ancient legend is associated with this spring. According to it, in ancient times, a carpenter Istvan lived in these places and fell in love with a much younger beauty, Susanna. Their family life turned out to be unsuccessful, as Susanna very quickly began to cheat on Istvan with younger suitors. Eventually, Istvan left his wife and went to live in the forest. Already an old man, he met a beautiful young maiden named Yuzya in the forest. She started running away from him, and he tried to warn her about the dangerous ravine ahead. However, he fell into the ravine himself, and the nymph came down to him and began to cry. Her tears brought him back to life and he became a young man. The nymphs Yuzya and Istvan fell in love with each other immediately. However, their happiness was interrupted by the treacherous Susanna, who was already old and ugly at that time. She slipped Istvan a viper and he died from its bite. The nymph Yuzya did not want to be immortal without her beloved anymore and died too. In the morning, two springs with healing rejuvenating water appeared at the place where they died. But Suzanne was never able to rejuvenate herself with this water, and people still see her sometimes at the spring. She tries to rejuvenate herself, but every time her attempts fail.
There are many other springs in Truskavets besides the ones we have mentioned. However, they are currently preserved for future generations.
