In the winter months, recreation can be active and calm, Verkhovyna has everything for that. Beginner skiers can ride on the track, those who are confident on skis can visit Bukovel.

In Verkhovyna there is an opportunity to visit the Regional History and Local History Museum of the Hutsul Region, the private Museum of Hutsul Life, ethnography and musical instruments Roman Kumlyk, the Museum of Hutsul Magic, the house-museum of the film “Annichka”, the house-museum of the film “Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors”, the Verkhovyna Museum of Folk Culture “U Trembitarya”, the Museum of Vyshyvanka, the Museum – cheese factory “Hat-Staya” and the Museum of Peter Shekeryk- Donykovo All of them provide an opportunity to better get to know the unique, distinctive history, culture and lifestyle of local residents.

The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in 1994, which is one of the largest wooden churches in Ukraine, operates in Verkhovyna.

In the summer, you can ride horses, pick berries and mushrooms, go fishing, go on bicycle tours. Specially developed tourist routes for cyclists. Adrenaline lovers can ride a raft, thanks to the mountain streams it will be possible to tickle the nerves.
