Khust district has established itself as the most legendary Transcarpathian region. The nature here will not leave anyone indifferent, and the history of Transcarpathia, its traditions and sights will make tourists love this place forever.
Everyone will enjoy an excursion to Khust, often called the Highlights of Marmarosh. Travellers will hear about the region that they have long dreamed of learning about, but did not know whom to ask!
On the outskirts of Khust, there will be a stop at the Krasne Pole memorial complex, built in honour of the defenders of the independence of the Carpathian Ukraine state. The events to which the memorial complex is dedicated have become a bright page in the history of the struggle for the independence of our country.
Hats, hats, hats... The variety of hats makes your head spin!
The next stop is in the village of Iza, where craftsmen have been honing their art for centuries and have achieved great skill, glorifying their village far beyond the region.
Perhaps there is no object in the world that Iza craftsmen could not make a copy of from wicker. Right in the village courtyards there are many shops selling the works of local craftsmen. You can buy these wonders of folk talent as a souvenir of your tour of Transcarpathia.
In the village of Iza, you will also visit the Baranovo cheese factory. Visiting the production and getting acquainted with the cheese-making technology, you will discover the whole world of cheese, and by taking part in the tasting, you will become a big fan of this product, if you are not already :) You can buy the farm's products here.
A unique place is located between the villages of Iza and Lypcha - a 57-hectare spotted deer farm. Spotted deer are one of the most beautiful animals on the planet, and it is not for nothing that they are called "flower deer" in China. They are very gentle animals.
Swimming in the thermal pools of Velyatyno is a great way to improve your health, strengthen your immune system, treat diseases and just have a pleasant stay. You are guaranteed a wonderful effect from bathing and improved well-being! The complex has 6 thermal pools with different composition of mineral waters.
The Narcissus Valley is located in the Kireshi tract, 4 km from Khust. Every tourist should devote at least 1 day of his or her life to such a sight. The valley is a carpet of snow-white flowers that were thrown here by an ancient glacier. Citizens often see these buds in flower beds, but no one has ever seen the fields sown with them. Therefore, travellers have a chance to admire the truly inexhaustible imagination of nature. In addition to its unprecedented aesthetic value, the land is an object of botanical research and a protected area.
In the village of Velyka Kopanya, at the Chorgo spring, we will make a stop for a rest and taste the spring water. The spring water is considered the cleanest in Ukraine and contains a high percentage of silver. The spring has another interesting feature, as the locals associate this water with the main reason for the mass birth of twins in the village. Thanks to the phenomenon of twin births, the village of Velyka Kopanya entered the Ukrainian Guinness Book of Records. According to local beliefs, everyone who has problems with childbearing is believed to become happy parents after trying the water from the spring. Whether it is true or not, the water in the spring is really very tasty.
On the way back to Uzhhorod, you will learn a lot more about Transcarpathia.
