Transcarpathia weekend tour will introduce you to the beautiful and cozy European city Uzhgorod will take you to look at the Uzhgorod, Mukachiv and Chinadiiv castles and the palace of Count Schönborn. Together we will travel tasting fragrant Transcarpathian wines, and most importantly, admiring nature Carpathians: Lake Synevyr , Shipit waterfall, bear shelter, panoramic lift.
Program “Tour of Transcarpathia for the weekend”, where you will get:
– 10:15 –Tourists meeting with a guide at Uzhhorod railway station. Moving to the city center.
– Introductory tour of the ancient and eternally young Uzhhorod.
– Acquaintance with cute bronze mini-sculptures of the city.
– Visiting cozy coffee shops and tasting real Transcarpathian coffee. After all, it is not for nothing that they say that Lviv is famous for its coffee shops, and Uzhhorod for its coffee!

– Moving to Pylypets (Mizhhirsky district) to the picturesque Shipit waterfall. On the way, tourists will see a beautiful mountain panorama, learn ancient legends and tales of the mysterious Carpathians.
– Not far from Shipot, a chairlift ride to the alpine meadows of Borzhava to Mount Hymba, from where an amazing panoramic view of the Carpathians opens. The height of the mountain is 1300 m above sea level, the length of the road is 1600 meters, the ascent time is 15 minutes.
–Lunch in a hut. The best dishes of Hutsul cuisine are recommended for complete impressions.
– Excursion to the Mizhhirsky National Reserve to the high-altitude Lake Synevyr.
– Excursion to the rehabilitation center for bears. It was built in the middle of the Carpathian Mountains in Mizhhirshchyna. Its area is 14 hectares. The shelter is designed for thirty bears. Everyone was equipped with a personal den, which is no different from the natural one. Dens are dug into the ground, covered from the inside with moss and roots.
– Return to Uzhhorod.

– Visiting the Mukachevo Castle “Palanok“, founded around the 9th century – monuments of history and fortification architecture of the XIV-XVIII Art. Shrouded in legends, the restored castle is one of the most interesting sights of Transcarpathia. Its history is connected with the history of almost all the countries of Central Europe.
– Lunch. The best dishes of Transcarpathian cuisine.
– Excursion to the palace of the Austrian Count Schönborn.
– St. Miklos – castle of love (XV century). An interesting tour of the ancient castle, where a great love was born that changed the history of entire states. Saint Miklos was the place of romantic meetings between a powerful princess and a young count who rebelled against the empire.
17:00 – Transfer to Mukachevo railway station.
18:00 – Transfer to Uzhhorod railway station.

The village was founded in 1463. The peak of the tourist season falls on winter, as there is a ski resort and snowboard center. Mount Gimba with a height of 1497 m is equipped with 3 lifts. The waters of the picturesque Shypit waterfall fall from a height of fifteen meters. Not far from Shipot, there is a chairlift ride to the Borzhava alpine meadows to Mount Gimba, which offers amazing panoramic views of the Carpathians.
Mukachevo - not too big, European city in the style of Krakow or Prague, built in 896 on the river Latorytsia. His patron saint is St. Martin. The city impresses with its extraordinary planning, stunning cuisine, cozy restaurants and the bright beauty of the streets. In summer, Mukachevo also attracts fans of rafting and rafting on catamarans on the Tisza and Latorica.
Chinadiyevo is considered a magical place. It originated in the early 13th century. The beauty of nature here is closely intertwined with the charm of ancient architectural monuments. Until the 18th century. the lands belonged to the Hungarians and then passed to the Austrians. Their owner was Count E.-F. Schönborn. Its hunting castle of the 19th century and the Church of St. Elijah of the 14th century have been preserved. and the Chinadiyev Fortress of the 15th century, also known as the castle of St. Miklos.
