Detailed description of the Strypko Museum of Ceramics in Kosiv
The museum’s exhibits include a large number of highly artistic ceramic masterpieces by Vasyl Strypko, which skilfully use traditional Kosiv ornaments. In his works, he uses an author’s innovative technique of execution with the use of local white and red clay as colourants. His skilfully sculpted plates, jugs, bells, whistles, candlesticks, and sculptures are striking in their beauty and uniqueness.
The owner allows visitors to see his workshop and the magical process of creating ceramic masterpieces.
By agreement with Mr Vasyl, visitors can try to sit at the potter’s wheel themselves and try to make a clay souvenir for themselves.
