In terms of its scale, the Kosiv souvenir market is not inferior to such well-known locations as the souvenir markets in Yaremche and Yablunytskyi Pass. But, unlike them, there is no such huge flow of tourists here. As a result, the prices for souvenirs in Kosovo are much lower and more reasonable than in many other similar locations. This allows you to buy wonderful handmade items and at the same time significantly save your travel budget. Local masterpieces of folk art are actively bought up by dealers and sold all over Ukraine at prices 2-3 times higher than Kosovo’s.
The Kosiv souvenir market has an extremely wide range of goods. Here you can buy handmade shirts, towels, ancient embroidered shirts, caps, leather handbags, wallets and boots, blankets, warm socks, slippers and bedspreads, beaded and satin stitch embroidery, embroidered dresses, wooden chests and plates, trembitas, whistles, drymbas, ceramic dishes (plates, cups, jugs), ceramic whistles and kitchen tiles, postolas (traditional Hutsul leather shoes), beaded and ceramic jewellery, and a wide variety of antiques. In addition, you can buy cheese horses, cheese, berries, porcini mushrooms and incredible Carpathian tea, traditional for the region.
Vendors at Kosiv market are willing to give buyers the opportunity to bargain, allow them to take photos and always wish your family all the best. You will never hear them complain that you didn’t buy anything or went to buy from competitors. These people are always positive and friendly.
In addition to shopping, Kosiv Bazaar is also a great place to establish direct cooperation with folk artists.
The territory of the souvenir market in Kosiv is to some extent ordered and divided into sectors by product type. However, such a division is rather arbitrary and is not accompanied by signs or identification marks.
