The village of Dyjda belongs to the Velikobyyhansk community, is located in the Berehiv district of the Transcarpathian region. of Ukraine. The distance to the district center is approximately 5 kilometers. The population is about 2,013 people.
The modern village of Dyjda was formed in 1957 thanks to the union of the villages of Beregdiyda (founded in the 14th century) and Mezevgomok (founded in 1356). And the earliest settlements near the territory it occupies today appeared more than 5,000 years ago.
There are many places important from a historical and cultural point of view on the territory of Dyjda. For example, you can visit an archaeological site of the XII-XIII centuries. the castle “To-var”, the Reformed Church of the 14th century, the Church of the Ascension of the Lord of the 16th century, a monument in honor of fellow villagers who died in the First World War.
