Dragobrat is the highest located ski resort Ukraine and is located 1.3-1.7 km above sea level. The closest settlement to it in terms of distance is the village of Yasinya Rakhiv district of Transcarpathia.
The only problem is the lack of good access roads. There are 2 mountain roads leading to the desired location, but both of them are not in a functional enough condition to be used.
The resort cannot be reached by train, and the mountain itself can only be accessed by a four-wheel drive vehicle. There is no direct connection to the GLC. The best way to get there is through the village of Yasinya, which is located in its foothills. Therefore, for those travelling towards Yasinya (Dragobrat), the transfer, price and convenience of road maintenance are very important.
The way to the ski resort
The easiest way to get here is by train. Train going to the city of Rakhiv, railway line passes through the Yasinya station, which is a popular destination for holidaymakers.
It’s also easy to get there by private car, minibus or bus to Ivano-Frankivsk, where the bus is close to your destination. Further, you need to drive a car with four-wheel drive, and in winter it is not recommended to use your own car at all. The road is very dangerous and it is better not to drive on it if you are not too familiar with it.
The most convenient way to get to Dragobrat is by powerful jeeps. You need to book a trip with the locals in advance. The cars are parked next to the Edelweiss recreation centre near the turn to the resort.
