“Gorgany” is a nature reserve in the Ukrainian Carpathians. It is located in the southwestern part of the Ivano-Frankivsk region, in the Dovbushanskyi Gorgan district.
The area is 5344 hectares. Founded in 1996. Created to preserve relic European cedar pine (Pinus cembra). The territory of the reserve has a geomorphological structure, the structure of vegetation and animal life typical of the Gorgan region, therefore the reserve is of great value for the preservation, reproduction and study of the biodiversity of the region and the Ukrainian Carpathians in general.
