Mount Plai, or as it is also called Borzhava, is located in Ukrainian Carpathians and belongs to the Polonyna Borzhava massif. The peak with steep slopes is located within the Transcarpathian region, south of Volovets. The height of the Plai is 1323 m. Nearby are Mount Temnatyk (1574 m) and Velykyi Verkh (1598 m).
On Mount Plai there are capital buildings (some of them abandoned), a radio communication station with antennas, and a meteorological station that has been operating since 1968. In 1969-1970, Vyacheslav Chornovil worked here as an observer, as evidenced by a memorial sign installed on the top on 15.09.2007.
