Cyril and Methodius Women’s Monastery of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate is a monastery of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate in the village of Drachyno near Svaliava of the Transcarpathian region.
The founder of the monastery is the deacon of the Svaliava district, the abbot of the Church of the Holy Nativity of the Virgin in Svalyava, archpriest Vasiliy Barna.
The idea of creating a women’s monastery came to Vasyl Barna in 1988, when he was transferred to the pastoral ministry in Svaliava.
