In Rakhovsky district Transcarpathian region, within the Carpathian biosphere reserve’s acts Museum ecology of mountains and the history of nature management in ukrainian carpathian mountains, which is a unique information, environmental, educational, historical and cultural center. You can find it in the city of Rakhiv on the street Red Pleso, house number 77. Its doors are open daily to visitors from nine to seventeen hours. It started its work in the 1990s. Great work for its Foundation was done by Professor Fyodor Dmitrievich Gamora – Director of the Carpathian biosphere reserve.

Museum exposition it consists of two parts dedicated to nature and nature management in the Carpathians. The exhibition area is more than 1000m2. The first part is devoted to the history of mountain ranges, Geology, geomorphology, main landscapes, flora and fauna of the Ukrainian Carpathians.
