The site presents various tours to Lumshory – a village in the Carpathians, which is known for centuries for its healing mineral waters.
As early as the end of the 14th century, Transcarpathia began to use mineral water for medicinal purposes. Healing baths made friends simply: in the hollows of rocks or in pits smeared with clay heated with hot stones mineral water. It was the prototype of the first balneological sanatoriums. One of them was in the village of Lumshory in the Perechyn region. Mineral water was heated here in cast iron vats. One such vat dates back to 1600, has survived and is still used today. Local mineral water was used primarily in the treatment rheumatism.
Tours and excursions to Lumshory start from Uzhgorod, some of them are designed for the warm season, but swimming in tubs is more memorable in winter. Acute sensations for you, precisely provided by its contrast, when you dive into the icy mountain river from hot water at 40 degrees, this will be remembered for a long time!
