Rakhiv is the administrative centre of the eponymous district of Transcarpathia and the highest mountainous city in Ukraine, located 0.5 km above sea level. It is located in a mountainous lowland at the confluence of the Bila and the Chorna Tysa.
For the many people who come to Rakhiv, the private sector is mostly the best option for housing. It is also the most budget-friendly, as holidaymakers rent a room, house or part of it directly from the owners.
