The Templar Cave, locally called the Sea Eye, is located on the top of the Black Mountain in Vynohradiv. It got its name because part of it has recently been filled with water. Attempts by local historians to pump out the water have been in vain – the groundwater does not want to leave. Researchers still don’t know when and by whom the Chorna Hora cave was carved. They agree on only one theory – it happened approximately in the fifteenth century.

This mysterious place is shrouded in numerous legends. Some of them speak of an iron door behind which the Templars’ gold is hidden. However, no one has ever managed to open this door. According to the locals, the cave has a strong electric energy field, which makes flashlights and candles go out immediately. There is also talk that there is a World War II-era tower near the entrance to the cave, which is still controlled by the Germans. And it is obvious that they control it for a reason, because of the treasures that are stored inside.
