On 1 April 2016, in the city of Uzhhorod a mini-sculpture of a grape bunch was unveiled on the railing of Kyivska embankment (GPS: 48.621436, 22.297416). This cultural event was initiated by the representatives of the official Moldovan delegation, who organised it as a sign of strengthening cultural and foreign economic relations between Ukraine and Moldova. The highlight of this monument is that it contains real wine “Bouquet of Moldova”, which, according to the Moldovan delegation, is only getting better over the years, as is typical for good wine.
At the unveiling of his work, sculptor Mykhailo Kolodko promised to cut a bronze bunch of grapes in 20 years to check whether the words of Moldovan winemakers are true.
This mini-sculpture became the 26th in the city. It is worth noting that it is the first mini-sculpture in Ukraine dedicated to a bunch of grapes.
